CRVO, Central Retinal Venous Occusion, Eyes, Ophthalmology:"Central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) is a common visually disabling disease. Although CRVO is among the most common vascular disorders affecting the retina, second in prevalence only to diabetic retinopathy, there is a great deal of confusion regarding its management. The pathogenesis of CRVO is multifactorial with both local factors and systemic diseases being etiologically important." http://www.legalnursingconsultant.org/crvo
Sarah Cruz, RN, How We Got Started, Little Boots Publishing, Rhode Island (RI) Nursing Entrepreneurs:"By some twist of fate, my nursing career has been taken into a new and exciting direction...writing and illustrating storybooks for children. Three years ago our daughter became a burn injury statistic. She sustained a preventable second-degree burn to her hand just a few days before her first birthday that has since healed. Each year too many children are severely burned by various kitchen appliances or by hot foods prepared in the kitchen. The United States has one of the highest rates of burn injury with the peak incidence occurring among children 1 to 5 years of age."
